By accessing or using Boat School, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
2. Description of Service
Boat School provides interactive sailing-education content, including lessons, quizzes, a sailing simulator, an AI instructor and reference materials. The platform is a learning aid and is not a substitute for hands-on instruction, certified training, or professional maritime advice.
3. User Accounts
You may use much of the platform without an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Acceptable Use
- You may not use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
- You may not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts.
- You may not scrape, copy or redistribute our content without permission.
- You may not misuse the AI instructor to generate harmful or inappropriate content.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on Boat School — including text, graphics, simulations, code and branding — is owned by us or licensed to us. You may use it for personal, non-commercial educational purposes only. Reproduction, distribution or creation of derivative works without express permission is prohibited.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we strive for accuracy, sailing conditions and regulations vary by region and change over time. Always consult local authorities, certified instructors and official publications before making real-world sailing decisions.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Boat School shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including any real-world sailing incidents.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or engage in behaviour that harms the platform or other users.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of London, UK.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
